Evolution to host Game Integrity and Risk Conference, Malta, September 2016

Published: 19/08/16

[Company News] Evolution Gaming, leading provider of Live Casino solutions, is to hold a two-day Game Integrity and Risk Conference for licensees, 6–7 September 2016, in Malta. The event follows Tania Johannisson, Head of Game Integrity and Risk at Evolution, appearing as a featured speaker at the recent WGPC (World Game Protection Conference) in Las Vegas.

According to Johannisson, the upcoming September conference, at the Westin Dragonara Resort Hotel, St. Julian’s, Malta, is a direct result of Evolution Gaming establishing the EG Integrity Alliance, a fraudulent play intelligence exchange programme between Evolution and its key corporate clients.

Speakers confirmed for the conference include: Michael Barnett CEO of Surveillance Technology, Australia (who appeared as an independent expert witness in the Phil Ivey Baccarat ‘edge sorting’ case); Ted Whiting, Vice President of Corporate Surveillance at MGM Resorts International, US; Daniel Harris, Surveillance Senior Analyst at Crown Melbourne, Australia; Matthew Wake, Detective Constable at Metropolitan Police, Todd Haushalter, Evolution’s Chief Product Officer; James Stern, Director of Business Development & Land-based Sales at Evolution and Tania Johannisson herself.

Johannisson commented: “For the first time ever within the scope of the EG Integrity Alliance, we will host a two-day business alliance and networking conference related to online game protection. By working together and sharing intelligence we stay one step ahead of advantage players, who use all manner of technologies and techniques to defraud gaming operators. Being well informed and current are critical concerns for gaming operators worldwide, and this two-day face-to-face conference is sure to be of enormous value to all our licensees and allows us to deliver further competitive advantage over other providers.”

She added: “Online game integrity and risk management has become an incredibly specialist and sophisticated area. We often have land-based casino clients visit our studios to carry out due diligence. Security and fraud are always primary concerns, yet after seeing how we safeguard online operations for our licensees they invariably leave with more concerns about their land-based operations.”

Invitations to the September conference have gone out to EG Integrity Alliance members and selected Evolution licensees. Non-Evolution licensees can contact [email protected] to be kept informed of future developments which, says Evolution, could include involvement from a wider community of operators.
